Overview Block User Dialog

The user dialog creates a dialog of your own from any control elements – for example a panel with several lights, a selection or a settings page. The dialog is built once (template) and shown by the Block User Dialog Call, as often and from as many places as you like.

Operation

The user never sees the template. They tap a call; the dialog appears as a sheet in the style of the new block design: docked at the bottom in portrait, centred in landscape. The title and subtitle are at the top, the close symbol at the right. The content is fitted to the width of the sheet; if it is taller than the sheet it can be scrolled. The elements in the dialog are operated as on a page, their own dialogs open above the sheet.

Setup

This section is meant for the installer of the system.

  1. Drag the element Block User Dialog onto a page. Its size determines the aspect ratio of the content. In the Studio it appears as a dashed area with the title.
  2. Drag further elements onto this area. They become part of the dialog and lie in the area of the template. Their position and size apply in the dialog in the same proportion.
  3. Create an element Block User Dialog Call and choose the dialog there.

In the visualization and in the APP the template is invisible. It can therefore sit on any page, even one the user never sees. One dialog can be used by several calls.
